At the height of change in the tourism industry here in the Whitsunday’s, Capt’n Pete saw the launch of a new aviation company – Aviation Adventures. He realised a niche market existed for a small operator to offer highly personalised helicopter tours & transfer operations out of mainland Airlie Beach and therefore, established Aviation Adventures as a specialised company to fill the gap the competition had created. A point of difference from our competitors was required. Attention to our clientele & the aircraft best suited to the tourism industry were targeted. The Kawasaki KH-4 “Bubble” helicopter is cost effective to operate & has the flexibility to carry up to three adults or two adults & two children. However, its selling point was that it has best visibility of any aircraft, enhancing a truly beautiful part of Australia. With the clear Perspex “Bubble” as the front view & the “Doors off” option for window seats, Aviation Adventures sets the standard for seeing the Whitsunday’s as they should be…… not through a window.

Our vessels carry at most twenty eight passengers allowing you to experience tropical paradise and the pleasure of a small group. Ocean Rafting visits the ‘wild side’ of the Whitsunday Islands with beautiful natural scenery brimming with marine, bird and animal life. On our homeward journey a platter of cheese and biscuits is served.On arrival at Abel Point Marina our courtesy bus returns you to your accommodation.

Whitsunday Crocodile Safari

Nowhere else on the Queensland coast can you experience so much in one location. In Proserpine, you can cruise around in pristine crocodile country as well as tour through freshwater wetland habitat, melaleuca forest and a mangrove ecosystem.

Our Whitsunday Crocodile Safari is a full day nature excursion into the estuaries of the Whitsundays. The region boasts an abundance of wildlife including birds, reptiles, mammals and indigenous flora.

Proserpine River is home to approximately 150 saltwater crocodiles, and you can see these animals in their natural habitat during our river cruise which is a highlight of the safari.  Also included is a tour on board our open-air wagon-train traveling through nationally listed Goorganga wetlands, an Aussie barbecue and billy tea and damper.
